The Bear

It started as absolute chaos in a small Chicago bistro's kitchen, likely meant to shock the audience. Even though I could barely grasp the characters' thoughts, I stuck with it and I'm glad I did. Over the next seven episodes, everything began to make sense, and I fell in love with the characters. For the first time in a long while, I felt sad that a series was ending. As soon as the second season hits Disney+, I'm all in. This is perfect drama set in the culinary world of Chicago, featuring fantastic performances from actors I’d never heard of before. The second season maintains the fantastic quality of the first. While the fine dining aspect might seem a bit pretentious, it was fascinating to get a behind-the-scenes look at the kitchen and the whole concept of setting up a new restaurant. The character development is incredibly engaging and feels authentic. Each episode focuses on a different person from the kitchen, exploring their personal growth and stories. I’ve grown so attached to all of them and I can't wait to see what happens next. (21.08.2023)

After the second season, expectations were high. But The Bear only partially delivered. It’s still incredibly eccentric, with everyone seemingly on the brink of madness. The first episode feels a bit self-indulgent, showcasing stunning cinematography but lacking in story. Visually impressive, but ultimately empty. The plot doesn't advance much, though episode six stands out as the most emotional. The finale, true to form, teases the next season, hinging on one pivotal scene.
