Sadako (Masumi Harukawa) is married to a common-law husband who is unaffectionate and unfaithful. Her life is far from exciting. One day, after she sees her husband off on a business trip to Tokyo, a burglar breaks into the house who rapes her. Left in the darkness, she tries to commit suicide but fails. Lost between the monotony of her marriage and flashbacks of the brutal incident, she decides to take matters into her own hands. (Nikkatsu)
