Sergeant Brandon Beckett trainiert kongolesische Truppen im Rahmen eines UN-Friedenseinsatzes, sich gegen Überfälle und Terrorattacken zu verteidigen. Da die Rebellen drohen, alle Europäer zu töten, bekommt er einen Sonderauftrag: Sein Team soll einen belgischen Plantagenbesitzer, der sein Land nicht verlassen will, evakuieren. Doch als die Soldaten auf der Farm ankommen, wartet bereits ein Scharfschütze auf sie. Beckett überlebt den Angriff als einziger und sinnt auf Rache. (ProSieben)

Action like from some video game. Action that is different from what actions normally are, but still quite interesting. Sniper could entertain me and Billy Zane once again showed that he can be a good action player in the field of action movies. I don't even care that sometimes something was not well thought out. It's still a B-movie like a pig and the scene where the sniper shoots through one Kongan from side to side until his body breaks off and then shoots another with about 6 shots before even killing him didn't bother me at all.

It's a bit of an action mashup, but it's quite nice that it still sticks to the original premise. Billy Zane is back, although definitely don't watch it because of him. Even though he's first on the poster, he gets very little screen time. The story revolves around the son of the original sniper, and it must be said that he’s grown up now. This also contributed to the lack of originality in the story, which also lacks strong moments.
