Von ihrer Mutter hat Amanda Shelton ein kleines Restaurant geerbt. Doch seit die junge Frau das ehemals gut gehende Lokal führt, bleiben die Gäste weg. Schuld daran sind Amandas bescheidene Kochkünste. Mit Hilfe einer geheimnisvollen Krabbe, die sie auf dem Fischmarkt ersteht, wird aus Amanda jedoch eine grandiose Köchin. Als der Yuppie Tom Bartlett das Restaurant besucht, fühlt sich Amanda sofort zu ihm hingezogen. Und Tom wird von ihrem köstlichen Essen geradezu verzaubert ... (sixx)

Wow, some elements at the beginning were actually quite good. Even the crab isn't bad at all. But then it turned into a not-very-interesting romance set in the world of cooking, and I would bet that some of the cooking is done quite poorly. The worst part is when the main characters kiss and start floating. The plot breaks down and gets really silly at that point. This was supposed to be a plot twist where love faces challenges, but it's so banal and clichéd that it doesn't have the right spark. If the film was watchable up to that point, it becomes quite a mess afterward.
