Polizeichef Forrester will sich die telekinetischen Fähigkeiten der so genannten "Scanners" zunutze machen, um die Weltherrschaft an sich zu reißen. Dazu konnte er den jungen Scanner David bereits für sich gewinnen. Doch als Forrester sich andere Scanner mit Hilfe von Drogen gefügig machen will, stellt sich David mit seiner Schwester gegen ihn. The film features excellent gore once again, with the exploding head scene being truly worth it. This is a standout feature of the film and will impress even those who otherwise might not care for it or be particularly enthusiastic about it. The psychological battles here aren’t groundbreaking; it all comes down to how the characters express themselves. But still, why not? If you don’t expect much depth from the film, it will entertain you.
