Aliens breiten sich auf der Erde aus: Sobald sie wie Parasiten das Gehirn ihrer Opfer befallen, übernehmen sie die Macht über den Körper. Ziel der Außerirdischen ist die Vernichtung der Menschheit. Definitely better than the first part, but I'll still stick with the better three stars. Compared to the first part, it is more brisk, more action-packed and also surprises with quite frequent and interesting twists, which I praise, but the horror elements seemed a bit underused. The good visuals and the cool villain are also worth praising, but it lacked perhaps more grit and the running time could have been cut by 20 minutes at least. Still, a decent horror film for Japan. 65%.

Japanese people are just cool, and I was very curious about this sequel because of their abilities. They are skilled, among other things, because how well they can handle the special effects sequences in their movies. That's fully true here. The film works precisely because it's excellently crafted in terms of special effects. But it also has a story that is not boring.
