A psychological thriller about a man condemned to relive a crime he believes he didn't commit. As he revisits his tragic last day and navigates his way through a strange institution, his perception is tested in a quest to find the truth. A man and his wife die in each other's arms. The husband, Edgar, finds himself condemned to a special place in hell, blamed for her murder - a fact he refuses to accept. His punishment is to eternally re-live that last dreadful day. Learning that his only escape is through enlightenment, he enlists the help of fellow inmates and devises a plan to end his horrific cycle. Ultimately, he comes to understand that the opposite of innocence is not so much guilt as it is responsibility. (Verleiher-Text)

Englisch Please explain to me how it is possible that the director Merlin Dervisevic waited with such a debut almost until he turned fifty. The story is set in the hell of everyone who deserves it. In essence, this is a very demanding film, which is worth watching from the first second to the last shot, otherwise the viewer will get lost in it, will not want to think about the film and will perceive a lot of moments as bullshit. In the film, there are a number of seemingly inexplicable phenomena that create the impression of something that needs to be explained. And the film does come with an explanation. Plus it quite surprised me with its ending. It was like the type of puzzle that looks the most complex right before you solve it with your final move. ()

Englisch I agree with other users, the idea is fine, but in terms of visual and acting, it's so weird. Pretty much a B-movie in which the mystical uplifting motif is completely lost. And those 90 minutes are so damn long in such a slow, repetitive conversation... ()

Englisch A solid psycho thriller. An excellent premise that is very complex, dark and convoluted, but gradually everything is beautifully explained like a puzzle – you have be constantly on the alert. Although I don't like these conversational movies much, here I had a decent time, was pleasantly shocked a couple of times, plus these retrospective themes suit me very well. I can only recommend it. 75% ()
