Other than the spectacular chase with the festive police parade, this slapstick offers at least one moment that leaves me with a smile (the catching of a moving car), one excellent stunt (the ladder) and one actually simple joke that will make me laugh even in my grave (the dog bite).

Frigo, fixated on the belief that poverty is disgraceful, steals a wallet and buys a hack, it's rib becomes a hat rack, leading to a series of misunderstandings that end with Buster Keaton being chased by LAPD waiters. With its hopeless climax, it can be seen as a reflection of the scandal involving Keaton's friend Roscoe Arbuckle.
