Für den Archäologen Sir John Willard geht ein Traum in Erfüllung. Er findet das Grab des Pharaos Men-her-Rah. Doch bei der Öffnung der Grabkammer stirbt Sir Willard an einem Herzanfall. Kurz darauf kommt auch Felix Bleibner, der die Expedition finanziert, ums Leben und in New York begeht dessen Neffe Selbstmord. Schon spricht alles von einem Fluch des Pharaos, der Rache für seine gestörte Ruhe nimmt. Lady Willard beauftragt Poirot damit, sich vor Ort ein Bild zu machen, da sie um das Leben ihres Sohnes fürchtet. (one - ARD)

As soon as something takes place in Egypt, I get excited about it. I like Egypt. Here, moreover, you see Hercules in Egypt, who is absolutely unsuited to the sand and heat. This is also a beautiful contrast. Agatha managed to brilliantly explain how the curse of the tomb can work if it's exploited by an intelligent and twisted person who knows a bit about psychology.
