Livio (Ugo Tognazzi) and Lisa (Monica Vitti) are a couple in crisis: in ten years of marriage they have never missed extramarital stories, but their relationship seems destined to close permanently because Lisa is in love with Jean-Claude (John Richardson), a rich and fascinating Frenchman, with whom Lisa wants to live together in France. Livio is jealous of Lisa, who – albeit in his own way – he loves her deeply, but instead of reacting violently he adopts a more subtle tactic: he invites Lisa and Jean-Claude to spend a last weekend together with him in their villa by the sea, pretending to be friendly. Livio also invites Patty (Barbara Bouchet), the young secretary and uninhibited mistress. During their stay, that should officially consecrate civilly and without trauma a consensual separation, jealousy grows between the spouses... (Cinemax)
