Diese neue französische Komödie hat mir nicht besonders gefallen. Ich habe wahrscheinlich genug vom frankophonen sozialen Realismus, egal in welchem Genre. Einmal wird eine Lösung für einen vorher verlorenen Kampf in Zwei Tage, eine Nacht gesucht, dann wird in Das brandneue Testament ausprobiert, ob es vielleicht doch eine göttliche Angelegenheit ist, aber die Pointe ist natürlich, dass sowieso alle unsichtbar wie in Der Glanz der Unsichtbaren sind. Also, wenn ich mich wieder mit einer Gruppe kleiner bedeutungsloser Menschen treffen soll, denen diesmal das Leben durch einen Lottogewinn auf den Kopf gestellt wird, dann lache ich nicht mehr so sehr. Ein Film im Stil von Wild Tales - Jeder dreht mal durch.

Lucky Winners is a darkly humorous probe into the world of people whose (mis-)fortune has led to a large pile of money falling into their laps. It's perhaps a bit of a shame that the individual stories were conceived separately and are not connected in some way, but I was still really interested in each of the episodes about (un-)lucky people. The stories, which even life itself could not have come up with, amused me and sent shivers down my spine at the same time. The one with the revenge from beyond the grave almost seemed like one from Beyond Belief: Fact or Fiction. I originally gave the film three stars, but with some hindsight I'm raising the rating, as I quite liked this sometimes really wacky French ride.
